At Middle Brighton Vet, our consultations are designed togive your pet the time, care, and attention they deserve. Whether it’s aroutine visit or something more complex, every appointment is focused onunderstanding your pet’s needs and supporting their wellbeing.

Consultations vs. Health Checks

A consultation is an appointment you bookwhenever you have a concern about your pet. You maybe they’re not quitethemselves, have an injury, or you’d like advice on something specific. It’syour dedicated time with the vet to talk through what’s going on and find thebest plan forward.

A health check is a routine visit to helpkeep your pet healthy at every stage of life. These include:

• A juvenile check around 10 months of age to make sure your     young pet’s growth and behaviour are on track.
• Annual health checks for adult pets to stay     on top of their general wellbeing.
• A midlife check (around 5 years for dogs and 6 years for     cats) which includes baseline blood and urine testing, so we can detect     changes early.
• Senior checks every six months from around 8 years for     dogs and 9 years for cats to help them stay comfortable and active as they     age.

Both consultations and health checks are important:one helps when something’s changed, and the other helps ensure everythingstays on track.

Our Consultation Policy

All consultations are by appointment and are comprehensive.
For new clients, we allow 30 minutes to ensure we have plenty oftime to get to know both you and your pet. Every pet receives a full clinicalexamination during their visit.

Consultation Times:

Monday – Friday: 8am – 7pm
Saturday: 8am – 2pm
Sunday & Public Holidays: CLOSED

Your pet’s comfort and emotional wellbeing matter to us. We use a fear free approach to make each visit as calm and positive aspossible, with gentle handling, treats, and plenty of patience.
