A safe, care-first cat holiday while you’re away
Leave your feline friend in trusted hands at our in-clinic cattery - a purpose-built, vet-supervised boarding facility where your cat gets care, comfort, and attention while you’re gone.
Why trust your cat with MBVC Cattery?
| Benefit | What it means for your cat (and you) |
|---|---|
| Vet-backed care on site | Because the cattery is part of the same veterinary clinic, your cat has access to immediate professional attention if needed — whether that’s routine check-ups or emergency care. |
| Comfort & low stress environment | Designed with cats in mind: cosy spaces, calm handling by trained nurses and vets, and routines to reduce anxiety during their stay. |
| Tailored feeding & special diets | We can accommodate your cat’s usual diet or any special nutritional requirements so their stay doesn’t disrupt their routine. |
| Medication management | For cats on long-term medication or special treatments, we continue prescribed meds, monitoring, and any required procedures during their stay. |
| Safe, enclosed environment | Secure indoor runs or condos so cats can relax without stress or exposure to outdoor hazards. |
| Flexible short or long stays | Whether it’s a weekend or a longer holiday, your cat is welcome for short stays or extended boarding. |
What to expect during a boarding stay
1. Pre-boarding consultation – meet our team, go over your cat’s routine, dietary needs, medications, and any special care requirements.
2. Comfortable setup – we assign a suitable enclosure (private or shared for multi-cat households), with bedding, litter setup, and familiar items encouraged.
3. Daily care routine – feeding, litter cleaning, gentle handling, play / quiet time (depending on cat’s temperament).
4. Health monitoring – regular check-ins by vets or nurses to monitor appetite, hydration, behaviour, any signs of discomfort or illness.
5. Pick-up preparation – we send you a short update on how your cat is doing, their mood, eating habits, and readiness for pick-up.
Is the Cattery right for your cat?
Our facility is well suited to:
● Cats that are used to indoor environments
● Cats on ongoing prescription medication
● Cats used to particular diets or routines
● Multi-cat households who want their cats boarded together
● Cats travelling for extended periods (holiday / travel / owner business trips)
We do recommend pre-boarding visits so your cat can see the room and settle in before longer stays.

Do I need to book in advance?
Yes - we strongly recommend booking ahead to secure a spot, especially during school holidays or public holiday periods when demand is high.
Can I board more than one cat together?
Yes - multi-cat households can be accommodated together in shared or adjoining runs / condos, depending on compatibility.
Will my cat be allowed to roam outside?
No - stays are in secure indoor enclosures only, ensuring safety and reducing stress.
How do you handle older cats or cats with medical needs?
We can accommodate older or medicated cats. Our veterinary team monitors their health regularly, gives medications, and can run simple wellness checks or blood tests if needed during boarding.
What happens in case of illness or emergency?
Because the cattery is integrated with our veterinary clinic, we are able to respond immediately. We contact you first, then follow any owner instructions or vet advice for treatment.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring the following:
● Your cat’s normal food (so it keeps their routine consistent)
● Medication and dosage instructions if relevant
● Favourite bedding / toys for comfort
● Vaccination history (to ensure cats are up-to-date on vaccinations for safety)
