If there is an animal around, she will find it.
Lucie is a Veterinary Science student at the University of Melbourne and part of the Saturday nursing team at MBV, where she is learning quickly and getting involved in everything she can.
She has always been the one who ends up taking animals in—raising kittens, caring for a pregnant stray cat, and helping out with orphaned wildlife. It is not really a hobby, it is just how she is.
She is still building her confidence in clinic, but she is gentle, attentive, and tuned into animals in a way that cannot be taught. At home, she gets plenty of practice with two Golden Retrievers and four cats keeping her busy.
Originally from New Zealand, she is happiest outdoors—somewhere between the bush and the beach, with animals not far away.
Becoming a vet is the goal, and for now she is exactly where she should be—learning, showing up, and loving every minute of it.
Clinic cornerstone and sunset chaser with a goofy golden retriever soul.
Elephant admirer, grooming guru, and all-around animal care expert.
Animal advocate, Star Wars fan, and steak-loving night owl.
Coffee-fueled cat whisperer with a soft spot for Highland cows.
Tea-sipping team player with a soft spot for Dobermans and a camera roll full of cuteness.
Dog cuddler, problem-solver, and pasta enthusiast.
